God’s plan for us

  At Echo Lake, we believe that we have the privilege to help each other become mature followers of Christ, and we have a great time doing it!

Believe In Christ…

This is where it all starts for a Christian.

Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 

It is not a matter of how good we are, or what we have or have not done. Gaining a life with God that will last for eternity is solely a matter of believing that Christ died and was brought back to life so we could be forgiven.
 Believing in Christ is not just a one-time event. It is a lifestyle where we constantly choose to believe that following Christ is the only way to a wonderful and abundant life.

Grow In God’s Word…

Being a Christian is not a static lifestyle,
we have the opportunity to keep growing.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

If we want to grow in our faith, spend time reading and studying the Bible.
It truly is God speaking to us.

Live and Serve in Love…

If you desire to know the life that God has planned for you,
learn to live and serve in love.

1 Timothy 1:5
The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith.

The Bible is very clear: we can know a lot about faith, we can be generous, we can be eloquent, we can even be sacrificial- but if we don’t love, then none of it matters. God loves us, and calls us to love others in the same way.
