Join us for Thanksgiving Eve.

Posted by: | Comments (0)

We will be joining here at Echo Lake to share what we are thankful for- and I really can’t encourage you too much to join us.

Parents, it’s a great way to train up your children to teach them to express their thankfulness to God- and it’ll be wonderful for you to lead them by being thankful.

Preparations for the turkey can wait- let’s get together to thank God.

Wednesday evening, November 23 at 7:00 pm.

Breaking Bread Sundays

Posted by: | Comments (0)

What a great time we had in worship on Sunday! In many ways, I think I felt like the people in the early church- because as we devoted ourselves to a time of listening to the apostle’s teaching, to fellowship, to breaking bread together and to prayer, I did feel a sense of awe at God’s goodness to us- just as Acts tells us the early church was filled with awe!

So please, remember to mark on your calendars that the first Sunday of every month is going to be Breaking Bread Sunday- we’ll gather for a continental breakfast and worship at 10 am- be sure to join us and be encouraged!

Starting Sunday, September 4, we will gather for a “Breaking Bread Sunday”- please join us in Fellowship Hall for a simple breakfast, worship, teaching and fellowship.

Please note, we will be starting our time together at 10:00 am to give us time for breakfast.

If you have any questions, please send us an email or give us a call!

How Did the Storm Affect You?

Posted by: | Comments (2)

I’d like to try something different here-

Is there something you’d like to share about going through the storm this weekend? Then please post a comment…

It would be great to hear about any answered prayer or any ways in which you sensed God during the storm, but we’d also like to hear if any of you need anything or if there is any way we can help each other.

I know many of us are without power (so it could be a few days before some even read this!), but if there are any other needs, we’d like to join together and help each other.

Please post any comments here- or you can call the church office with other requests.

Thank you!

Our “resurrected” camping trip was a great time to connect with each other, even though Hurricane Irene cut our trip short (we all came home Saturday afternoon). The campground is beautiful, right on the Neversink River, and provided lots of privacy for us, as we were among the few in the campground for the weekend. We, unfortunately, had some cancellations- but those who did go all had a great time, and we hope to plan a trip again next summer!

No Gathering for August 28

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Greetings-

Because of the path and timing of Hurricane or Storm Irene, there will be no gathering for worship at Echo Lake Baptist Church on Sunday, August 28. Please let us know if there is something we can be praying for- and I do encourage you to spend some time in prayer- and maybe read Psalm 23 tomorrow morning. I hope to see you next Sunday as we will gather again for worship.

Please keep an eye out for a special message…

God bless and protect you,

Brian
